If a leader refuses to be clear, it’s not an accident. It’s a TACTIC, I repeat it’s a TACTIC.

Toxic leaders don’t like clear expectations.

Clear expectations mean accountability.

So instead, they:
▪️Keep roles and responsibilities intentionally vague.
▪️Shift priorities constantly so no one can challenge them.
▪️Make you second-guess yourself, creating a culture of hesitation.

Why?
Because when you’re constantly unsure, you become easier to control.

I learned this later on in my career.

Here’s how to push back:
1) Ask specific questions and document the answers.
2) Clarify priorities and confirm them in writing.
3) Hold them to their words because they will try to rewrite them later.

Toxic leaders hate clarity because it removes their power.

Force the conversation into the open. That’s how you take your power back.

Have you ever dealt with a leader who avoided clarity?
